The hardworking photographers and designers at Ohio University are a week away from unveiling the fourth incarnation of their yearly, award winning multimedia publication, “Soul of Athens.” Full disclosure, I am a proud graduate of Ohio University’s School of Visual Communications and worked on this project in past years. The award winning project asks “What is the soul of Athens?” a town of roughly 40,000 in Southeast Ohio. The answers, provided in the form of compellingly original photographs and multimedia content, are always surprising.
The site launches on June 1st, and judging from the teaser site up now, featuring crisp, engaging portraits of local characters, this years edition looks like the best one yet.
