Last month we offered Photoletariat readers the chance to win a gallery wrapped canvas from Posterjack worth $150. We asked you, faithful readers, to leave a comment letting us know what your favorite type of photography was and why. Thanks to everyone who entered! All of your answers were great and we loved reading them. But, of course, there can only be one winner.
So, without further ado, the winner of the $150 canvas by Posterjack is …*drumroll* … Amanda Breeden whose answer was “My favorite kind of photography is travel. I’m drawn to environmental and human interest shots. I aspire to shoot images that tell stories, and this type of photography lends itself well to storytelling.”
Congratulations, Amanda! We hope you enjoy your canvas print and, of course, when you receive it, please feel free to post a photo of your masterpiece on our Facebook wall, as well as Posterjack’s Facebook wall!

Have you heard about a company called Posterjack? If not, they’re definitely worth checking out, which is why I included them in my article 5 Unique Photographer Accessories that Make Great Year-Round Gifts.
Posterjack provides its customers with professional-quality photo enlargements on several types of mediums, such as: poster-sized prints, framed photos, and peel n’ stick posters. You also have the option to print your favourite photo on canvas in a variety of sizes.
Which brings us to our giveaway! Posterjack has agreed to give one lucky Photoletariat reader a 24×36” gallery wrapped canvas that’s ready to hang and has a value of $150. They’re even going to pay for the shipping, so it won’t cost you a dime.
All you need to do is leave a comment telling us what your favourite type of photography is and why.
But wait there’s more…

Here at the Photoletariat, we’re looking to support and showcase photos shot by hobbyists and amateurs alike. In the next few weeks we’d love for you to send us your photos for a gallery of reader submitted photos to be published on this site. We’ll have a gallery and uploader set up in the future, but for now send them directly to me at jsimon@magnetmediafilms.com. They needn’t be big, no larger than 700 pixels please.
To help you all out, we’ll offer you a theme to get you started. For our first photo challenge we’re giving you the theme “The Dog Days of Summer”
Interpret that any way you want. Feel free to send any pictures you’ve already taken as well.
Happy shooting!
We’re extending our photo challenge a few more weeks to allow enough time for submissions. So this weekend, make a picture, any picture, regardless of where you are or how terrible the light might be.
Email us a picture or link and make sure it is 1o inches on the longest side at 72 pixels per inch.
Happy Shooting
